<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To consider no cone angle on one hand, and to obtain an optimal utilization factor of a detector and a dose utilization factor accompanying it in the maximum sending value when the sending value or the pitch of transfer spiral of the detector is variable on the other hand. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for forming CT images of an object to be examined moving periodically, especially in the method for reconfiguring a heart volume in a multi-row CT apparatus doing spiral operation and the multi-row CT apparatus constructed for this purpose, many segment images are calculated at each partial rotation segment from small partial rotation segments along the rotary spiral, and these segment images are converted to partial images at the target image plane (e.g. a plane in the axial direction) in the second step, and integrated into a full image in right phase in the third step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
