PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounted type antenna with excellent antenna characteristics. SOLUTION: A conductor film 4 is formed on continuous four surfaces which are a front end face 2a, a front surface 2b, a rear end face 2c and a back surface 2d in a dielectric base body 2 in a rectangular parallelepiped shape. On the conductor film 4, a plurality of slits 3 are formed. One of the conductor film 4 divided by the plurality of slits 3 functions as a radiation electrode. At least the side end edge of the slit 3 forming the open end of the radiation electrode is formed by being cut by a dicer. The position of the open end of the radiation electrode takes part in the resonance frequency of the radiation electrode. Since the working accuracy of the dicer is high, the open end of the radiation electrode is formed at a position almost as designed and the radiation electrode has the resonance frequency almost as set.
