PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve ease of shifting operation of switching between forward/reverse movement, and to easily recognize a shifting position for reverse shifting in a transmission device for a rough ground traveling vehicle. SOLUTION: This rough ground traveling vehicle has a V-belt type non-step transmission 5, and a forward/reverse switching device 6 switchable to forward, neutral, and reverse positions. The forward/reverse switching device 6 is accommodated at a rear part of a crankcase 4, and has a rotating-type shifting device 26 for switching between forward/reverse at a handle bar 12 part adjacent to a handle grip 23, and the shifting device 26 and the forward/reverse switching device 6 are interlocked by cable transmitting devices 77, 78. The forward/reverse switching device 6 has a stopper mechanism for stopping movement from the neutral position to the reverse position. The stopper mechanism is interlocked with the brake device so as not to shift to the reverse movement unless the brake device is switched on. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
