PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polisher for rough-planing and finish cutting dedicated to barks such as cherry bark, which performs bark-cutting even though the thickness of the cherry bark is not even by reducing an excess inventory of the cherry bark by automatic cutting, by largely reducing the labor burden of a worker and a running cost of the cutting, and by suppressing an unnecessary purchasing or the like. SOLUTION: A polisher body has a bed section which loads the cherry bark and moves to the right and left hands, an endless sanding belt is suspended with a belt guidance mechanism comprising driving rolls at upper and lower sections at the center of a machine, a cutting head section which is moved forward and backward by rotating the belt and a sander elevating mechanism which can voluntarily set a lowering cutting quantity so as to polish a work until a predetermined numerical value is reached are disposed, to perform drive control by a control section connected with the machine body.
