PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize the whole motor-driven compressor; to provide silence; and to highly efficiently transmit torque (motive power). SOLUTION: An electric motor 50 is connected to the input side of a wedge roller type transmission A, and a fixed capacity swash plate type compressor 60 is connected to the output side. That is, a driving shaft 17 of the electric motor 50 also serves as a high speed side shaft of the wedge roller type transmission A.
