SPRAY CONTROL WITH NON-ANGLED ORIFICE IN FUEL INJECTION METERING DISC, AND METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injector capable of spray targeting and distribution of fuel using non-angled or straight orifice having an axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of a valve sub-assembly. SOLUTION: This device comprises a metering disc having a plurality of metering orifices 142 formed along the longitudinal axis through around the axis, and at least one channel formed between a valve seat orifice 135 and the metering disc. It is tapered to the longitudinal axis, and a virtual extension part of the taper toward the longitudinal axis forms its apex at a smaller distance than a first radius D1. A fuel current coming from each metering orifice in the metering disc forms an oblique spray angle to the longitudinal axis. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
