PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a breaker cushion reduced in worsening of resistance to heat buildup and in deterioration in tensile properties (especially elongation after aging) without detriment to steering stability and to provide a heavy-duty tire using a breaker cushion comprising the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises a rubber component and an inorganic filler. This composition contains 100 pts. wt. above rubber component and 30 to 35 pts. wt. above filler.
