PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the positioning of a core in the investment casting method. SOLUTION: A description is made of the investment casting method for manufacturing a cast member. The method is prepared for producing a cast precursor from a matrix 10. The matrix 10 has an inner face 16 forming a space 14 in which the cast precursor can be produced. On the inner face 16 positioning recesses 18 are demarcated so as to be able to provide corresponding positioning projections on the cast precursor.
