PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that folding is performed only to a considerably wide width of just holding both sleeves in a clothes width direction and there is no function of adjusting a folding width in the clothes width direction in a clothes folding machine of a patent document 1. SOLUTION: The clothes folding machine is provided with a width folding device 4 for folding both side edge parts in the width direction of clothes folded into two for which the clothes whose sleeves are folded are folded into a half length to a center side by a prescribed width each. The width folding device 4 is provided with a pair of left and right folding guides 41 for determining the respective folding widths of both side edge parts in the width direction of the clothes folded into two and a pair of left and right folding and hooking devices 47 for folding and hooking the respective side edge parts of the clothes folded into two to the respective folding guides. Further, the respective folding guides 41 are supported so as to be displaced in the direction of getting closer and separating to/from each other and the interval of the respective folding guides 41 is adjusted by a power drive type interval adjuster 44. Thus, the width direction of the clothes is folded further smaller and the folding width of the clothes side edge part is freely adjusted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
