PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a D/A converter which improves a resolution without largely increasing an occupied area on a substrate, is excellent in linearity, and has a small integral linearity error and a small differential linearity error. SOLUTION: Reference current compositing blocks C1-C4 are connected in cascade between a group of current control elements t11-t44 and a changeover switch 2. At least one (reference current compositing block C1) among a plurality of the blocks C1-C4 divides a composite reference current quantity on the basis of predetermined weighting, and outputs it.
