PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal transmission apparatus capable of displaying correct video data, even when a skew is generated in the data between channels. SOLUTION: Each channel is provided with a path for outputting the received data without delay, and a path for delaying the data synchronously with a video clock. A transmitter side adds a video guard band signal to the data immediately before starting a valid video area, and transmits the data. A receiver side detects the video guard band signal of each of the channels by using a video guard band detector 4, synchronizes all the channels with a channel having the largest output delay so that the video guard band signals of all the channels can be synchronized, and selects the output delay of each of the channels to output a video signal.
