PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the operation at the time when commodities of a vending machine are purchased by using a non-contact terminal performable easily and surely. SOLUTION: The vending machine has a commodity selection means for selecting a commodity, a commodity delivery means for delivering a selected commodity, a vending machine control part for controlling the vending machine as a whole, a communication means for conducting communication with the enabled contactless terminal at all times, and a communication control part for processing various kinds of data between the vending machine control part and the communication means, and if it is decided that a commodity is selected with the commodity selection means during sales standby, the amount charged for the commodity is transmitted to the communication control part, which outputs to the communication means so that it provides a settlement instructions; and the communication means, if it recognizes that the contactless terminal is held up, makes settlement, and transmits the result to the vending machine control part via the communication control part, thereby delivering the commodity and shortening the processing time.
