PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which is a simple structure, prevents hot offset trouble caused by ununiform temperature distribution from occurring even when the device is continuously used for a long period of time, is short in warmup time and less in consumption power, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a heating member, a pressure member disposed in pressure contact with the heating member, and a heat uniformizing member which abuts on at least the heat member or pressure member.
