PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner and a strainer device for air conditioning, capable of easily and effectively removing the rust in water flow and cleaning a dust removing body. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner, the water is circulated in a conduit including a heat source device 3 and a heat exchanger 8 by a pump 2. This air conditioner is provided with a sub-conduit 11 connected with a first conduit at the downstream with respect to the pump 2 at its one end part and connected with the first conduit at the upstream with respect to the pump 2 at the other end part, and the water is circulated in both of the first conduit and the sub-conduit by the pump 2. A water passing area of the sub-conduit 11 is smaller than that of the first conduit 1 provided with the pump 2. Thereby the rust in the water flow can be captured or removed simultaneously with the normal operation of the air conditioner by allowing the comparatively small amount of the water to flow in the sub-conduit 11 by the pump 2. Further the pump 2 is driven and the normal air conditioning operation can be kept, even when the sub-conduit 11 is closed to clean the dust removing body 23. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
