PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing lubricating oil collecting device, eliminating the need for arranging extra collecting equipment around the end of a spindle without causing the deposition of used lubricating oil on a work after dropping down, even when applied to a spindle device for a machine tool. SOLUTION: A housing 1 is provided with a carriage air exhaust path 7 for exhausting carriage air from the other side face of a bearing 3, a lubricating oil drain path 8 having a drain air inlet and outlet, and a dropping lubricating oil collection path 9 having an upper end opening communicating with the carriage air exhaust path 7 and extending downward and a lower end opening communicating with the lubricating oil drain path 8. At a lower portion of the dropping lubricating oil collection path 9 in the housing 1, a valve element 16 is arranged which is changed over between a first position where the lower end opening of the dropping lubricating oil collection path 9 is open and a second position where it is closed.
