PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain cock surely preventing the intrusion of a bad odor, a small fly, a mosquito or the like by displaying a sufficient sealing function when a drain outfall is closed, ensuring an excellent environment and also opening and closing an open-close cover easily. SOLUTION: In the drain cock 1 installed to the drain outfall G1 formed to a floor face in a freely openable and closeable manner, the drain cock 1 has a cylindrical body 2 mounted on the drain outfall G1 and the open-close cover 3 opening and closing the top-face opening of the body 2. In the cover 3, the cover 3 is secured in the freely openable and closeable manner centering around an eccentric place from the center of the cover 3 while inwards or outwards tapered surfaces 2a and 2c extensively over a lower section from the top face of the body 2 are formed extensively over the whole periphery at the upper-opening periphery of the body 2. In the periphery of the cover 3, the tapered surface coiciding with the tapered surfaces when an upper opening is closed by the cover 3 is formed to the periphery of the cover 3, and a packing 5 is interposed between the upper-opening periphery of the body 2 and the cover 3.
