PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine with a tiltable washing tub in which washings can easily be taken in/out, a case can be shared with an ordinary washing machine with an erected washing tub to reduce its manufacturing cost, and parts are more easily assembled by removing a projecting part in the front of the case. SOLUTION: This washing machine comprises a case 4; a washing tub 5 consisting of an outer tub 6 for storing washing water with an upper side part assembled tilted at a prescribed angle to the front face side of the case 4 and an inner tub 8 for washing equipped in the outer tub 6 inside the case 4; and a drive means 12 for rotating the inner tub 8. The washing machine also comprises an opening part 20 provided on the backside face part of the case 4, and a back cover 22 formed with a bulged part on its outside for covering the opening part 22.
