FIELD: electrical engineering; manufacture of lithium cells with manganese dioxide spinel based cathode. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes mixing of manganese dioxide with lithium hydroxide followed by heat treatment of this mixture; in the process components are mixed up in dry state whereupon they are additionally mixed up in the course of plastic flow while twisting at pressure of minimum 2.0 GPa and relative deformation of 22 - 24.
