DATA TRANSMISSION APPARATUS AND METHOD USING TRANSMITTING ANTENNA DIVERSITY IN PACKET SERVICE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for transmitting data in a packet service communication system using transmitting antenna diversity.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for transmitting data is provided with at least two or more antennas and includes a feedback information interpreter for interpreting the feedback information including the channel status information and the antenna weights received from mobile stations requesting a packet data service, an antenna weight generator for classifying the antenna weights in the interpreted feedback information, simultaneously selecting mobile stations of which the weights are mutually orthogonal and outputting the selected mobile stations and the weights of the mobile stations, and a transmitter for applying the selected antenna weights to packet data of the mobile stations having the weights orthogonal to a signal and simultaneously transmitting the packet data to which the antenna weights are applied to the corresponding mobile stations.
