<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication terminal device which can stabilize the connection of a radio link, and also to provide a mobile communication method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A data receiver 106 receives a signal using a frequency f1 allocated to its own cell, generates receive data, and outputs it to a controller 110. The controller 110 decides whether or not transmission of a random access channel (RACH) is expected to end in failure on the basis of the receive data. The controller 110, according to a result of the decision, temporarily stops the RACH transmission, and generates a control signal to control the execution or non-execution of self searching operation using a frequency different from the frequency f1 during the stop period of the RACH transmission. A random access channel transmitter 104 transmits the RACH according to the control signal. A self searcher 108 executes the self searching operation using the frequency different from the frequency f1 during the stop period of the RACH transmission according to the control signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
