REMOTE EVALUATION SYSTEM COMPATIBLE WITH DIGITAL BROADCASTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote evaluation system compatible with digital broadcasting for quickly evaluating the performance of an existing television community antenna television (CATV) facility on the basis of a signal simulating a radio wave emission state of terrestrial digital broadcasting.

SOLUTION: A digital broadcast simulating signal generator 21 generates a digital broadcast simulating signal and inputs the signal to a signal input terminal 11 of the existing CATV facility 10 and the facility 10 outputs the signal from a wall terminal 15 via its interior wiring 14 or the like. A digital broadcast signal analyzer 22 applies various measurements to the digital broadcast simulating signal outputted from the wall terminal 15 and transmits the result to an analysis server 26 of an analysis center 25 from a communication terminal 23 via a communication network 24. The analysis server 26 evaluates the CATV facility 10 by performing a program required for the analysis and transmits the result to the digital broadcast signal analyzer 22 via the communication network 24 and the communication terminal 23. The digital broadcast signal analyzer 22 displays the analysis result transmitted from the analysis server 26 on a monitor to exhibit the result for a manager.
