<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a wavelength conversion device to keep its output stable independently of temperature change. <P>SOLUTION: A thermosensitive stretchable/shrinkable member 11 enables the grating part 6 of an optical fiber 3 to stretch or shrink in the lengthwise direction in accordance with temperature change, so that light emitted from an optical resonator composed of a semiconductor amplifying element 1 and the optical fiber 3 is changed in wavelength so as to follow a shift in the center wavelength of incident light that can be converted by the wavelength conversion device 5 due to a temperature change of the wavelength conversion device 5. Even when the center wavelength of incident light that can be converted by the wavelength conversion device 5 is changed due to a temperature change of the wavelength conversion device 5, light emitted from the optical resonator is changed in wavelength so as to follow it, so that the wavelength conversion device is capable of keeping its output stable independently of temperature change. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
