PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor excellent in high frequency response property and mounting property, and to provide the manufacturing method of the same. SOLUTION: The solid electrolytic capacitor is constituted of a dielectric film, a solid electrolytic layer and a collector layer 8 on a valve metal sheet body 1 provided with a porous section on one side of the same, an anode and cathode separating unit 9 provided on the outer peripheral part of one side of the valve metallic sheet body 1, a connecting terminal 4 provided so as to conduct a connecting terminal 5 connected to a through hole electrode 2 exposed on the other side of the valve metallic sheet body 1 so as to be conducted with the collector layer 8 through the valve metallic sheet body 1 with the valve metallic sheet body 1, an intermediate electrode 12 connected to the connecting terminals 4, 5, a reinforcing plate 11 bonded on the collector layer 8, and a sheath 14 for covering the whole surface of the surface units of the capacitor excluding the intermediate electrode 12.
