PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier recovery mechanism which effectively utilizes a limited space around an image support and restricts the leakage of liquid carrier in the carrier recovery mechanism for a liquid development electrophotographic apparatus using liquid toner with a nonvolatile carrier. SOLUTION: Using a recovery blade, the liquid carrier is led out to the both ends of the recovery roller of the carrier recovery mechanism, and further led out to a recovery pot along a lead-out guide plate.
