PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for base board installation having an insulator made of an anisotropic resin hardly generating deformation due to heat at reflow or the like. SOLUTION: When the insulator 2 is heated, since orientations of an upper surface 2a1 and a lower surface 2a2 are different from each other, deformation is generated at the fitting part 2a of the insulator 2 due to a difference in coefficient of thermal expansion. In order to take measure against the above, a concave and a convex same as those at the lower surface are formed through the front to the back of the upper surface by forming concaves (hollow-shaped parts like grooves) 2a1a, 2a1b, 2a1c at a position facing the concave of the lower surface (not illustrated, a guiding part for fitting a mate connector, build-up part like ribs). Subsequently, as the balance of orientation is uniformized, the deformation of the fitting part of the insulator caused by the difference of thermal expansion coefficients is prevented.
