PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal closed type switchgear in which an apparatus to be housed therein can easily be inspected. SOLUTION: The metal closed type switchgear comprises a main circuit disconnecting part in a box 21, and houses the apparatus 24 to be housed that is placed and fixed in a housing box. In the housing box with the housed apparatus 24 placed and fixed therein the box comprises a bottom plate that is continuously arranged almost orthogonal to a front plate with its upper face opened, the box is linearly moved and arranged drawably, the housed apparatus 24 is separated from the main circuit disconnecting part, and thereafter the upper face of the housed apparatus 24 is turned by a turning means that is positioned at the front side of the box 21.
