PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulverization method for finely pulverizing object particles to be pulverized and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: The pulverization apparatus comprises a jetting means 10 having a supply port for object particles to be pulverized in the surrounding of a high-pressure and cooled liquefied carbon dioxide jetting port and while being mixed with the supplied object particles to be pulverized, the high-pressure and cooled liquefied carbon dioxide is jetted toward the collision wall 32 from the jetting means 10 to finely pulverize the object particles and at the same time prevent re-agglomeration of the finely pulverized object particles. The object particles to be pulverized may be various particles of such as a coating raw material, a raw pharmaceutical substance, a metal material, a ceramic material and the like.
