PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for automatically recording a go-game record in a face-to-face go-game. SOLUTION: The automatic go-game recording device has a CMOS-USB camera directly connected with a USB port of a personal computer. The go-game recording device processes an image picked up into the computer by the camera based mainly on an algorithm composed of "decision logic whether a stone to be placed belongs to the black stone player or to the white stone player", "decision logic whether a stone is a placed stone or a captured stone" and "decision logic as to the first move progress". This recording device automatically records the face-to-face go-games while giving serial numbers to the go-records of handicapped go-games, even go-games with a normal komi and go-games playing black in every game, respectively.
