PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facing-board supporting member being constructed without requiring labor at a site and displaying the performance of a viscoelastic material and a method for mounting the facing board. SOLUTION: The facing-board supporting member 12 has a fixed section 20 fixed onto a column 11 for a building and an upper-end pawl section 23 and a lower-end pawl section 24 engaged with the upper end section 14A and the lower end section 14B for supporting the upper end section 14A and lower end section 14B of the facing board for a close adhesion through the upper-lower viscoelastic materials 16 installed outside the building.
