PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain assembling cost and part cost by simplifying the whole constitution when forming a structure for idly rotating a thumb-turn for enhancing crime preventive performance. SOLUTION: This thumb-turn lock 1 is constituted so as to lock/unlock a lock by protruding/retreating a dead bolt from a door side end surface by operating the thumb-turn on the indoor side. This thumb-turn lock 1 is provided with a clutch mechanism between the coaxially arranged thumb-turn 5 and a cylinder lock 4. This clutch mechanism is composed of a pin 2b integrally rotated in the same direction by the rotational movement of an inner cylinder of the cylinder lock, a cam member moved in the longitudinal direction along the axis by the rotational movement of the pin by allowing one side end surface to abut on the pin, a thumb-turn clutch 8 and an elastic member 11 for always energizing the thumb-turn clutch in the forward direction along the axis. This thumb-turn clutch 8 is a plate body moved in the longitudinal direction along the axis by abutting on the cam member, and a part of the plate body engages with and separates from an engaging part of the thumb-turn, and is fitted so as to integrally rotate with a driver for driving the dead bolt.
