<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid toner from being pressed, and to appropriately replenish the toner from a toner container 6 to a developing chamber 14 in accordance with the reduction of the toner in the developing chamber 14. <P>SOLUTION: The developing apparatus 2 is provided with a stirring/carrying means 28 arranged in the developing chamber 14 and the toner container 6. The developing chamber 14 is provided with first and second carrying paths 26a and 26b and communication paths 27a and 27b. The stirring/carrying means 28 is provided with a first rotary helical blade member 30a arranged in the first carrying path 26a. A toner inlet 54 is formed in the developing chamber 14 so as to be positioned above a toner receiving area set in the first carrying path 26a, and a toner discharge port is formed in the toner container 6. A stirring elastic film member 102 for locally reducing the carrying ability of the stirring/carrying means 28 is arranged in the first carrying path 26a on the downstream side of the toner receiving area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
