<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate correction of a program in an image forming apparatus while reducing movement without requiring replacement of a ROM storing a control program or provision of a dedicated connector. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system comprises a memory rewriting unit 20, and an image forming apparatus having a memory 3 capable of erasing/writing information by using that memory rewriting unit 20. The memory rewriting unit 20 is connected with the image forming apparatus through joints 9a, 9b, 9c and 9d common to specified external auxiliary equipment. The image forming apparatus executes a specified rewriting program and erases/writes information in the memory 3 through communication with the memory rewriting unit 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
