<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter, improved in operating characteristic of the catheter in curing operation and having excellent usability by strengthening the integrity of a reinforcement wire, inserted as reinforcement, with a tubular member. <P>SOLUTION: In this balloon catheter, the reinforcement wires 5, 15 for reinforcing the rigidity of the tubular member are inserted and disposed in the tubular members 3, 13 connecting adapter members 1, 11 and the balloons 2, 12. The outer peripheral surfaces of the reinforcement wires 5, 15 are suitably joined to the inner surfaces of the tubular members 3, 13 through pressure sensitive adhesive materials 6, 16. Especially, the joint part between the reinforcement wire and the tubular member is formed at the distal parts 3b, 13b of the flexibly formed tubular member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
