摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for controlling a synchronous motor with polar saliency, which considers error or transient term of armature's current magnetic flux due to polar saliency with no omission, and evaluates a filter as well for suppressing the noise or effect of the transient term. <P>SOLUTION: With the magnetic flux from an armature current as a variable to solve the problem of polar saliency, angle estimation and speed estimation are simultaneously realized based on the error between the armature current magnetic flux estimated by a primary dimension adaptive observer and an apparent armature current magnetic flux. A current control which flows only an apparent invalid current is performed at start, and an operation with a zero armature current instruction value is performed for a short period after starting is completed. The rotational speed of a motor is estimated based on a voltage instruction value during the period. An angle estimation at a large amplitude is performed from the armature current magnetic flux estimated by the observer and the apparent armature current magnetic flux. These assumed values are taken as an initial value of the observer to switch to an ACFO speed sensorless system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
