PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain dust generation and reduce a packing mistake in packing operation by carrying out an in-line inspection for a glass substrate housing. SOLUTION: In the glass substrate housing (1) in which a plurality of grooves (4) to insert the glass substrate (3) are formed in a predetermined pitch on the opposite face of the housing, an index (5) to detect a position is formed each in the first opposite groove and the last opposite groove.
