PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surveying instrument capable of preventing loss in quantity of light and displaying various data such as surveying data at an image display section clearly. SOLUTION: The surveying instrument comprises a telescope optical system having an objective lens and a focus adjustment lens; and an image sensor, where light coming from the telescope optical system is image-formed. Additionally the surveying instrument has the image display section for displaying an image for observation, based on the information of the image formed in the image sensor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
