PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aseptic sickroom which is made possible to change over negative and positive pressures and can obtain a good indoor environment. SOLUTION: The aseptic sickroom 1 is equipped with a treatment chamber 3 having a bed 2 installed therein and a front chamber 4 having an entrance and exit 3A accessible to the treatment chamber and used for preventing the aerial infection of a patient on the bed. The bed 2 is installed at the corner part A held between the partition wall 5 which divides the treatment chamber 3 and the front chamber 4 and the side wall 3a of the treatment chamber 3 so that the bed 2 is set along the side wall 3a in the longitudinal direction. The area other than the partition wall 5 and side wall 3a opposed to the bed 2 is surrounded by a curtain 6 to form a region B partitioned from the treatment chamber 3. An air supply unit 7 for supplying clean air to the region B is provided to the partition wall 5 while an exhaust unit 8 for exhausting air from the region B is arranged to the side wall 3a and the region B is set to either one of negative pressure and positive pressure by the air supply and exhaust flow rates of both units 7 and 8.
