PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide trousers so designed that the length of an elastic cord is easily regulated at a position not coming in contact with the body of a wearer according to his (her) lying posture. SOLUTION: The trousers are provided with elastic cord pull-out holes 12 at plural portions of an elastic cord-passing part 11 formed at a waist part. The trousers functions as follows: an elastic cord 20 is pulled out from an optional elastic-cord pulling-out hole according to the wearer's waist size, the pulling-out elastic cord is folded into tow to make a nearest button hole opposite to the elastic cord-passing hole, a button having such a shape as to join both-side holding plate parts to each other at their center core parts is passed through the corresponding button hole to fix the both side holding plate parts of the buttons to the cord so that the elastic cord to be pulled out from the elastic cord-passing part can be adjustable to the wearer's waist size.
