PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber composed of a modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having good process passableness during spinning and drawing operation and good dyeability and hygroscopic properties and to provide a conjugated fiber. SOLUTION: The fiber is composed of the modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) containing 0.3-40mol.% of a structural unit (I) and having 5-55mol.% of ethylene content. The conjugated fiber is composed of the modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) as one component and a thermoplastic resin (T2) other than (C) as the other component. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
