A pneumatic tire that positively discharges water having flowed into a groove extending in the circumferential direction of the tire and enhances capability of preventing hydroplaning. The groove is provided in the tread face of the tire and extends in the circumferential direction of the tire. The wall face of the groove is provided with line portions constructed from plural lines of ridges or recesses that are inclined to one direction relative to the length direction of the groove.
