METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING IMAGE, AND IMAGE GENERATING APPARATUS INSTALLED WITH THE METHOD AND SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for processing an image which provides, together with the image, information relating to parameters associated with an object contained in the image.

SOLUTION: At least one region of interest is selected in the object, and a man-machine interface is formed between the region of interest in the object and an axis of symmetry of the object. Coordinates of a symmetric region of the region of interest with respect to the axis of symmetry is calculated, and the symmetric region of the region of interest and associated information relating to the parameters are displayed on an image of the object contained in the image. The system and the method include image acquisition and image consulting thereof. The image acquisition may be acquisition of medical diagnostic images. The image consulting is connected to the image acquisition by a computer network.
