<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk which can be manufactured at low cost and is capable of high density information recording by dispensing with a conventional difficult process for performing permanent adhesion of a reinforcing base to an information substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk comprises an information base 10 which is made to be handled as a single body by forming a small dimple 4 called 'a pit' in an information recording surface of a base material 3, making a reflection film 5 adhere thereon and applying a protective film material 12 for protecting the reflection film 5 and a reinforcing board 11 detachable from the information base 10. The reinforcing board 11 is constituted by applying a tacky paint 15 in a doughnut shape and a layer shape on the part in the vicinity of its center hole 14 and except the outermost peripheral edge part on one surface side of a base material 13 consisting of a strong member made of metal or the like. When the information base 10 is used to a recording and reproducing device or a reproduction only device, the reinforcing board 11 is temporarily superposed on the information base 10 to be recorded or reproduced utilizing the tacky paint 15 and inserted to the device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
