<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red-eye correcting device, a red-eye correcting method and a red-eye correcting program capable of much more surely correcting red-eyes for an image where red-eyes appear at the sections of the eyes without generating any sense of incompatibility. <P>SOLUTION: Correction area information indicating a correction area for correcting the red-eyes of a color image is acquired, and range information indicating a range being the color of the red-eyes in the color space of the image data is acquired, and when the image data are within the range corresponding to the range information with respect to the pixels of a correction area corresponding to the correction area information, the original image data are replaced with the image data indicating the color of the eyes, and when the pixels are the boundary section of the correction area, the replacement quantity of the image data is made correspond to the rate of the same pixels included in the same correction area.
