<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the temperature of a pan placed on a top plate of an induction heating cooking device. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a top plate 2 for placing a pan 1, a heating coil 3 for heating the pan 1 by electromagnetic induction, an inverter 4 for supplying the heating coil 3 with a high-frequency current, an infrared detecting means 5 arranged at the center of the top plate 2 detecting infrared rays from the pan 1, a control means 7 for inputting a signal of the infrared ray detection means 5, and a soil-removing filter 8. The infrared ray is inputted into the infrared detection means 5 protected from soil by the filter 8, and the inverter 4 or the like is controlled in accordance with the temperature.
