GROOVE SHAPE MEASURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groove shape measuring method for achieving production efficiency improvement and production cost reduction, as well as obtaining measured data directly and correctly reflecting secular variation of the groove shape to form even finished products at higher yield rate.

SOLUTION: The method comprises: a coating process of applying a coating material 10 to the surface of a guide roller 6 with a plurality of V grooves 8 formed on; a transferring process of curing the coating material applied to the guide roller to a certain hardness and then transferring shapes of the plurality of V grooves on the coating material; a slicing process of removing the coating material on which shapes of the plurality of V grooves were transferred from the guide roller and then slicing some of the removed coating material along the direction crossing the plurality of V grooves to form a slice piece 12 of desired dimensions and shape; and a measuring process of measuring shapes of the plurality of V grooves formed on the surface of the guide roller based on each transferring V groove 8' present on the slice piece.
