PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator reducing the probability of the generation of the misdetection by a refrigerant leakage detecting means. SOLUTION: This refrigerator wherein the inside of the compressor 1 and a part from a refrigerant outlet side of the compressor 1 to a refrigerant inlet side of an evaporator 5 are applied as a high-pressure side in a refrigeration cycle, comprises an inlet temperature sensor 13 for detecting the temperature of the refrigerant at an inlet side of the evaporator 5, an outlet temperature sensor 14 for detecting the temperature of the refrigerant at an outlet side of the evaporator 5, a refrigerant leakage detecting means in a control circuit 20 for detecting the occurrence of the refrigerant leakage, and a refrigerant leakage responding means and a condensation fan 6 of the control circuit 20 for performing the processing corresponding to the refrigerant leakage in a case when the refrigerant leakage detecting means detects the leakage of the refrigerant. The refrigerant leakage detecting means in the control circuit 20 detects that the refrigerant leakage occurs at the high-pressure side of the refrigeration cycle in a case when the temperature of the outlet temperature sensor 14 is lower than the temperature of the inlet temperature sensor 13.
