PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start warning control device and control method for an LPI engine capable of controlling start warning in accordance with driving states of an LPI engine, and improving startability in a heated state and a PCD state of the LPI engine. SOLUTION: This start warning control device for an LPI engine includes a driving state detecting unit including a start switch capable of detecting a switching state for detecting the driving state of the LPI engine, an engine control unit to generate a fuel supply signal and a warning signal based on a signal supplied from the driving state detecting unit, a fuel supply unit driven by the fuel supply signal supplied from the engine control unit to supply fuel to the LPI engine, and a warning unit driven by the warning signal supplied from the engine control unit.
