PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can accurately control the response speed of liquid crystal in accordance with a variation in luminance of a motion screen and variation in ambient temperature without increasing the memory capacity of an image data processing part nor causing a deterioratin in image quality. SOLUTION: A circuit 4 codes current image data Di1 of a pixel received as raster data and a circuit 5 stores the coded image data Da1 for a one-frame period and outputs one-frame preceding image data Da0 of the pixel in accordance with input of the Da1. Circuits 6 and 7 decode the data Da1 and Da0, a circuit 8 calculates variation-amount data Dv1 of decoded data Db1 and Db0, and a circuit 9 reproduces one-frame preceding reproduced image data Dp0. A circuit 10 generates corrected current image data Dj1 on the basis of a control signal TP1 of a temperature control section 12 and both image data Di1 and Dp0. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
