PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable which always maintains a stable transmission characteristic without causing an increase in transmission loss. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable constituted by gathering a plurality of optical fibers at the center part of a cable core 4, charging a buffer material 1 around them, and forming a jacket outside it, maintains the stable transmission characteristic by using polypropylene opening yarn of≤0.2% in heat shrinkage rate and≤1.0mm in opening width for the buffer material 1.
