PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in such durability as suppression of the rise of residual potential during repetitive use and having high sensitivity and to provide a method for manufacturing the same at low cost. SOLUTION: In an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer on a conductive support, a compound having a phosphite structure and a hindered phenol structure in one molecule, a thiophosphite compound, a phosphite compound of formula (1), (2) or (3) or an N,N'-bisenamine compound of formula (4) (each formula is left out) or a combination of those is incorporated into the photosensitive layer, whereby the objective electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity and excellent in durability is obtained. An electrophotographic apparatus loaded with the electrophotographic photoreceptor gives stable clear images over a prolonged period of time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
